Por NO!

I was just searching the net to download stuff… suddenly, the screen popped naked pictures of women. The whole world knows this is not new neither you were floored when you saw one. It was just TODAY, it hit me. I am deeply saddened by women who sell themselves to pornography and felt like had a burden to cry things out in this page. I just hope and pray, this message will reach them as much as my heart wants to weep with theirs. And if that is you, I hope this will reach you wherever you are at right now. Darling, you might have had experienced assaults, depression, pain, and damages in your life that have caused desperation and led you to this. But I just want you to know, that you are loved. You are beautiful. Your face is not a stranger to a Person who died for you 2000 years ago. Did you know that?  Yes, someone died for you. His name is Jesus. You probably might not have realized it, but the name you sometimes use as an expression when you are in pain or angry, is the Name that you can only find comfort and find new life. Who doesn’t want a fresh start?  There is still hope. Don’t be ashamed of your past, together with Jesus can build new from your past failures. The Bible says, “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” (Hebrews 12:1-3) Jesus died for your sins so that you can live. After 3 days he rose again to show that death or sin has no stronghold in your life any longer. You are free. You are given a new life. He believes in you. You have a great destiny to fulfil. Will you accept him? “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)  For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” (Hebrews 8:12)

1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. 5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. 6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place. 7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. 10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. 14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness. 15 Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise. 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. 17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. 18 May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

A Woman’s Question

A Woman’s Question

Do you know you have asked for the costliest thing
Ever made by the Hand above?
A woman’s heart, and a woman’s life—
And a woman’s wonderful love.

Do you know you have asked for this priceless thing
As a child might ask for a toy?
Demanding what others have died to win,
With a reckless dash of boy.

You have written my lesson of duty out,
Manlike, you have questioned me.
Now stand at the bars of my woman’s soul
Until I shall question thee.

You require your mutton shall always be hot,
Your socks and your shirt be whole;
I require your heart be true as God’s stars
And as pure as His heaven your soul.

You require a cook for your mutton and beef,
I require a far greater thing;
A seamstress you’re wanting for socks and shirts—
I look for a man and a king.

A king for the beautiful realm called Home,
And a man that his Maker, God,
Shall look upon as He did on the first
And say: “It is very good.”

I am fair and young, but the rose may fade
From this soft young cheek one day;
Will you love me then ‘mid the falling leaves,
As you did ‘mong the blossoms of May?

Is your heart an ocean so strong and true,
I may launch my all on its tide?
A loving woman finds heaven or hell
On the day she is made a bride.

I require all things that are grand and true,
All things that a man should be;
If you give this all, I would stake my life
To be all you demand of me.

If you cannot be this, a laundress and cook
You can hire and little to pay;
But a woman’s heart and a woman’s life
Are not to be won that way.

How Can We Know?

You say, I’m being attacked by the enemy here and there.  Admittedly, sometimes we overuse that. One time or another we all have fallen into this trap. If not being under-spiritual, we become overly spiritual.

Here’s what I have learned from Dean’s Sherman’s book:

How can we know when it is the devil, and not just circumstances? How can we avoid that extreme of seeing demons behind everything that goes wrong? The answer is to simply ASK GOD. Don’t assume that it is the devil’s work, but don’t refuse to acknowledge it may be his doing. Just ask God to show you what is going on. He has promised to guide us.

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” (Hebrews 5:14)

“…to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues” (1 Corinthians 12:10)

Another truth with which we must equip ourselves is: WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST

To say we are Christian is not enough. We must believe God in His declaration of who we are.

How Do God Speak To Us?

Godsvoice“‘You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:13:14

Many non-believers wonder why Christians always say “God told me…,” or “God spoke to me…” How does it happen? Do Christians really hear God’s voice and have close conversations? God has His own way of speaking to us:

He speaks through our heart. But how will we know if it’s really His voice or only our instincts? A Christian goes through a long process of knowing God. When you accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and spend lots of time to know God more, you will get a “signal” to contact Him, guaranteed always available, anytime of the day! And how do we get to know Him? By reading Bible regularly and absorbing his Word by heart, then you’ll find out how God moves. The Holy Spirit will generously come down for you to open your heart’s eyes to see God’s purpose for you. Holy Spirit will let your heart’s ears open for God’s voice.

Through people around us. We may not be aware but God gave us people who will bring us closer to Him. It could be your church pastors, church mates, colleagues, and friends. Consider them our today’s living prophets. They exist because God let them be part of you and YOU be part of them (and not someone to fool around with!) It is for us to be inspired, to be blessed, and to be a blessing.

Through problems. By being familiar with God’s voice, we won’t be clueless on what’s our life is gonna take. Remember that not at all times our roads in life are straight, but we will still to experience bumpy roads that will shape our character. If you can’t hear His voice maybe your heart is jam-packed with self-seeking judgments. Take time to pray, intimately, and repent when you’ve sinned.

Don’t rely on your instincts, consult God. Always pray in whatever, whichever situation it might be. And when we have finally got His answer, the most important thing to do is, do as we are told by God. Remember that obedience leads to success. It may not always what as we expected but every circumstances that take event in our lives has a reason. Don’t be afraid to hold the steering-wheel because it is not you who drives the car, it is God.

Fascinating isn’t? There are innumerable languages around the world, yet God speaks to us in extraordinary ways.

Days like this, I just got to let it out.

sadmanIn quiet times, it is quite inevitable for me not to dredge up the melancholy brought by the past. It gives me the feeling of burying my face to my hands and never face up ’til the day come to its end. As much as I wanted to admit that I am not strong… as much as I wanted to fight the sadness, I still can’t avoid the nature of a man that sometimes fall into knees for inescapable downright days.

Although there are many parts of my life I cannot understand, only 1 thing I am sure of — God is always by my side. Never leaves even for a millisecond. I believe my sadness will pass. I have a God who works a good story for me. I may not succeed with my plans, I may not always get what I want, people may start jeering at me, but I will surely finish the race in life through Him. I will never regret trusting Him.  My Lord always helps me to understand my conditions.

Some people say, these are the days that “the Lord is in silence.” I disagree, these are the days that the Lord is calling us.  He is working, but we are engrossed by the loud and irresponsible thoughts we run in our minds that leaves no space for His voice… He is working, so obvious, but we only look in so many different directions that we miss what He set up for us in front.

I will ALWAYS trust you Lord. Let my heart’s ear be always open for your voice.

A very good prayer from Diamond in the Dust:

Lord Jesus, I have nothing to fear, knowing that You are in control. There is no accident, injury, or circumstance that can happen beyond Your sovereign will. I recognize that the Devil cannot touch my life, that he cannot even tempt me without gaining Your permission. Help me to realize just how GREAT and POWERFUL You really are!

Bible Verse:
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1John 4:4

…This should be my first two priority in life: to trust and obey God…

Our Time Will Come

I may lose a thousand of chances. I may repeat history for decades. I may stumble to and fro. I may receive alarming calls of pain. I may lose an hour to breathe. But I know the One will protect me. Will surely provide me endless hope. Will surely halt the olden times. Will surely carry me after tripping. Will surely replace the air I have missed. Will surely not let evil touch my life. We may miss the obvious. We may get old of waiting. We may be left out. We may not see a storm approaching. Our body may be weak. But we should be spiritually strong. We should. Should. Zillion times SHOULD. For we will indisputably be an overcomer, just like Christ. Just like the way he led the world. Just like he dearly and unselfishly loved the calloused world. It’s a matter of sacrificial. Then we get the prize, richer than gold.
